The Marlborough Visitors Bureau is a private, not-for-profit marketing
organization located in Marlborough, Massachusetts, dedicated
to improving the quality of life in Marlborough by maximizing
the economic impact and tax revenues generated by visitors to
the city.
The
principal goals of the Marlborough Visitors Bureau include:
- Increase
the economic impact of tourism, meetings and citywide conventions
in Marlborough, as measured by room tax revenues generated by
Marlborough hotels, direct visitor spending in city businesses,
and secondary spending induced by visitor activity.

Undertake a professionally-managed program of destination management,
destination marketing, and visitor services that promotes Marlborough
in an appealing manner to individual tourists, groups, meetings/conventions,
and corporate travelers.

Protect the room tax and property tax base of the City of Marlborough
by strengthening the local visitor industry.

Increase the quality of life for Marlborough residents and workers
by helping make the city a more appealing place to live, work,
or visit.

Assist the City of Marlborough in attracting visitor-related
businesses, and to improve the citys visitor industry
infrastructure.

Act as a catalyst for visitor industry development and promotion
in the MetroWest region, as defined by the "I-495 Initiative"
program.
